Lyfe (pronounced “loif”) is a term coined by Stuart Bartlett and Michael L. Wong which aims to open up perceptions in the search for life in the universe. Because life could have materialized in ways completely unknown and thus undetectable to us, it is necessary to widen our imagination to aid in the search. With a simple linguistic twist, these scientists have ripped open the concept Life. Paired with footage of an alien beach, our narrator serenely asks a series of questions about life as we don’t know it, in earnest and profound wonder.
