Cyberjaya is a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, a designated “IT City”. It’s also the namesake of a particular personality born in a corner of the internet where technology gives rise to spirituality. Cyber Jaya (b. 1991, Los Angeles) is a CEO and guru who can give you inner peace - at a very high price. With his Keynote Meditation he travels the world, enlightening his followers with his technocentric esoteric apps and products. Inspired by actual social media spiritual leaders, the character embodies the very real consequences of neoliberal economics seeping into the realms of science and religion.
